Walked around

I just got back from walking around for about two hours.

I realized last night I forgot a towel, and on the plane my sunglasses broke. The first store was an electronics store, I got confused because it had a picture of pikachu on the door!

In walking to the next store I avoided a biker and my phone charm broke off from my cell and fell into someone's side yard! Thankfully they were out and about so I told them I dropped something (in very bad Japanese) and they understood and let me get it. It was a nice old lady.

Then I went to another store, I found a towel, but no sunglasses. The next store I tried was closed, but I didn't realize when I walked in! It took 4 store people to explain it to me... I was really embarassed.

I'm about to go meet Arisa now. I'm very excited!

A small update

The flight was long, and I only got about 7 hours of sleep between the two.

Japan is amazing, I had a bit of a hard time last night. I went to the super market and got some food, the lady at the check-out counter spoke so fast that I didn't even get a word. I don't know half of what I bought, but it's good and edible so it works for me. It made me a bit overwhelmed last night though. Lack of food, sleep, and the inital culture shock overwhelmed me a bit. But I feel better today.

Of course, my sunglasses broke in the airport just after I landed. So I'm about to head out to find a new pair, go on a little walking adventure.

I woke up at 7:00am this morning with the sun, it was so odd. Though, I suppose it's good to get in the habit for school. I did go to bed at 10:00pm, so I know I got enough sleep. Perhaps being jet-lagged will help me get ready for the semester!

The tempoary housing I'm in is very nice. It's four litle rooms, attached by a big big common room with a kitchen, and a shared bathroom. Everything is very clean and lovely. The girls who are with me are very nice too. I already found a concert buddy, a running buddy, and my roomates are Islamic from Moracco, talk about a melting pot!

Everything is a far walk, I think I'm going to loose weight while I'm here!

I just registered for classes, so cross your fingers for me. The accept the first 30 students, and then after that you're in a lottery for the class if someone drops. Though, even my alternates are very interesting, so I'm sure it'll be great no matter what.

I'm meeting Arisa today, I'm very excited about that too.

Please everyone e-mail my cell while I'm gone and don't have much internet. I'd love to hear from you all and it's free for me.

Time to go off on a sunglass hunt!
